Mary-

It sounds like this may not be what you are doing, but make sure that you are carefull if you are installing DNN in a virtual directory or subdomain if DNN is already installed in the root.  The reason is that you can get some weird things happening because of how certain aspects of the web.config are inherited.

Hi everyone,

thanks for the replies. I think you are right, it does look like a web.config issue, it must be something with the paths.

I will give it another go and let you know what happens.
