If my hosting provider will not allow full permissions to the root directory of my website, is there anyway to get around this?

Do I need full permission if I have a fully designed site and are only moving it to the host provider (the installation is already done)

TIA

As far as I know you should be able to configure your root folder, because it's should be enabled in your ADMIN and HOST login.  I don't see why a hosting service would prevent you from setting permission.  If not, then I don't think there anyway around.  That's why I have my own server, because hosting services can't provide me with the service I need.  To many limitations and not enough space for me.

Hope this helps!
