I have a requirement to be able to separate the Repository control, the form control and the Moderator control across different pages of my Portal. I was able to get teh controls to install as separate controls within the site, but this forces a new module ID to get created for each control that I install; thus, the creation, viewing, category management all stop working since the Module ID is used to tie all the controls together.

Has anyone done this before?  Is it better to simply link to the actual URL for each control, as opposed to installing them separately?  If so, is there a way to make navigation items without creating an instance of a page and link directly to the control's physical URL?

Thanks,

Robert

I cannot think of any way to get the repository controls to work as you wish. As you stated, they all work together based on the module id. You should think of them as different 'views' of the module, not as separate controls. You can't use them the same way you would a user or server control without making significant code changes

That is what I discovered through my creative work arounds that yeilded nothing.  So, as long as I know the URL and the tab ID does not change for the main repository module, I should be OK?
