Hi,

I'm trying to run an existing ASP.NET 3.5 application within a DNN (ver. 4.9) IFrame, and take advantage of the forms Authentication which theoretically works across asp.net applications (at least according to MSDN, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/eb0zx8fc.aspx).

I tried making the machineKey codes and authentication Name & Protection match between the two web.config files, as suggested in the link above, but it didn't work.

My question - since my IFrame web appln is an asp.net application, can I take advantage of shared forms Authentication?

Or - should I go with the Viva Iframe module which I read about in this forum, and allow sharing of userid's and roles?

Thanks for any help!

I don't know if Authentication sharing will work, but if all you need is userid and roleid/rolename, you can use that module.

We are working on importing the features in VivaIframe in to the core module.
