Ok so heres the deal. We have an iframe page that links our customers to an off site invantory company. Now the plan is to have the iframe on our page automatically resize to the size of the page of the inventory site. The reason why we can't just make a static page is because the invantory site has dynamic views of 10-20-50 items at a time. I've been going through my books and trying to find code online but no luck thus far. My manager really wants this and hates the idea of having an embeded scroll page. Can this be done? ... does anyone understand this?

Thanks in advance

Autodetecting a size of IFrame object on the page is done via javascript calls. Unfortunately, such scripts are only working on same-domain pages. Cross-domain javascripting is disallowed by browsers for security reasons.

There are some (fairly unreliable) techniques out there - some employ Flash, for example.

Of course, if you can plant code on the IFrame'd pages directly, you could write some code to communicate back and forth - but, I am guessing, this is not an option in your case.

One way you could definitely achieve the desired result is to use a overlay / window pop-up instead of an IFrame...
