Hello Community,

I have Event Module 04.00.02 on DNN 04.09.00. I added an events module to a ContentPane and added a test event. If I click on the event I get an

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

I searched long and wide through the help and online help, the settings, the event module blog and this forum here. I am really struggling to get this working! Do I need to set some sort of target pane/page/container etc? No matter what vieww I select, I awlays get the 404 error. I also tried the setting "Event Detail New Page" set to true/false. Without any difference, I still get the 404 on the same page!

Any advice would be great!

Cheers

Peter

It looks to me like there is something wrong with your DNN config. Are you able look in your IIS log and see what url it is trying to access when it gets the 404?

Cheers
Roger

Thank you Roger,

I need tp find out the eventlog on my hosting console. I know I saw it somewhere but can't find it at  the moment! The Url which throws an 404 is

http://nmtmassagecourses.co.nz/dnn/Courses/CourseCalendar/tabid/56/ctl/Details/Mid/372/ItemID/1/Default.aspx?selecteddate=5/29/2009

Not sure if this helps. This is when I click on an event.Should I find out more I'll post it here!

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter,

When you installed the module, did it install completely error free (i.e. no Red writing)?

Thanks
Roger

It was installed during the normal DNN install. But I un-installed it and installed it again and no red messages.

I did a test with another site I am hosting, same hosting provider. Same issue. Then I did a test on my local machine with a local copy of a web site! There it works. So it points to a setup issue within my hosting account. I wonder if it could be a Database connection problem.

Cheers

Peter
