Does anyone knows whether it's possible to change the text encoding in order that the text (which is not in Latin characters) will appear in outlook calendar  normally and not as "???? ??? ???...." - Where can change it?

The version of DNN I'm using 04.09.01 and Event module ver. 04.00.02.

Hi Eran,

We haven't got a configuration option available within the events module. We could add to a futire release, but I'm not sure how to output the right options to the iCal file.

Can you export an iCal file from Outlook and post the content here, then I should be able to work it out.

I assume that the reason is that the language I'm using is hebrew and in the process of exporting the file  - It lacks the right encoding (I think UTF8) and as a result apears in outlook calender as questions mark (jibrish...) and not as the text appeared in the website.

If I could've add somewhere the right encoding I assume the problem would be solved

Hi Eran,

Yes it needs UTF-8 support. I've gone through and worked up a change. Unfortunately it needs to be done in the code of the module. I can give you the changes I am proposing if you can update the source and re-compile. Other than that, I'm afraid it will have to wait from version 5.1.0 (5.0.1 is in the release process now), so it may be some months.
