ya i reregistered ASP.Net with IIS.

Check your machine key in the web.config file and/or the domain name used in the authentication settings in the web.config.

If either of these are wrong it results in the behaviour you describe.

Hi,

There is no domeain users definition in web.config.

How can i compare Machine key in my web.config.

 if during upgrade the database cannot be accessed, the machinekey gets a new value and existing logins will not work any longer. To regain access, replace machinekey with value from a backed up previously used web.config. besides make sure, databaseOwner and objectQualifier values haven't been changed as well.

Hi There,

The problem is resolved. The problem was not due to web.config or machine key or db connectivity. Actually i missed a very common check. In IIS there were no host name specified for default websites.

Anyways thanks to all for helping me out.
