Hi,

I am in the process of migrating my exisitng Intranet website from old server to new server. The old sever is with Server 2000 Ent. Ed. with IIS Setting as Allow Anonymous. The new server is server 2003 Ent. Ed. with allowing  anonymous access. The database is same for both website (SQL Server 2000).

If i access the new website (migrated on serve 2003) everything goes fine, but when i try to login it take me to login page but when i press on login it take me back to main page and shows as not logon. Although same process is working fine on localhost(server 2003) , i can access and logon. But from other machine i can not logon only view the public contents. I can not login to my website. No error or warning though.

Thanks in advance.

make sure to add new address as portal alias, either before copying the data via UI (in Host :: Portals, at the bottom of the portal settings page) or in database, table portalAlias.

Even i try to deploy one of my website (ASP.Net 3.5) on same serer and it is giving same problem. I can view the login page but can not login. I make it sure that it visit the DB by passing wrong password. I think there is something wrong with my server setting because locally i can access and login to all site.
