Is the width of the form module bigger than the width of it's pane or container? Can you give me a link where this problem occurs?

I can only give you a link of a screenshot I made:   www.translapolis.org/yamlforum.GIF

This concerns the latest dnn forum version on dnn 5.1.2, with the YAML base skin applied on it. Screen width 970, free style no columns ( but I have checked with the classic 2 columns as well, giving the same problem).

I'm pretty new to dnn and css, so maybe it's just a minor issue. It doesn't occur in Chrome however.

thank you..

FWIW, a quarter century ago I was laying out newspapers on grids, so grids are in my genetic makeup now.  :)

I've actually always used grids in layouts for HTML/Web Sites, and my first draft layouts are still done on a sketch pad with grid lines.  The grid systems using CSS just translate this process quicker for me.  I have used YAML, YUI and any number of other layout schemes and, for me, they don't fit with my methods as well.  Does that mean I design better or worse than anyone else?  Nope, just differently.  It may mean that my skinning work won't be done in a production line model or that I won't convert complex designs from other designers but, so far at least, my method has worked for me.  Can't say it would work well for anyone else, and I kind of doubt anyone's method works for everybody.  Especially since we all have unique backgrounds and, hopefully, visions of the goal.

I am having a lot of problems.  I think the skin you provided already has some of the code you have us copy from Yaml builder.  The line numbers do not match up on alot of items unless I skip copying and pasting the XHTML code from Yaml.

Is it possible to send me the finished skin from the tutorial?  I can then reconstruct a new skin.

Thank you for your hard work.  I'm trying to get a website up and for my son's Boyscout troop and I am way behind schedule

I tracked the problem regarding dnn forum's width under YAML down and the culprit seems to be css code in patch_dnn.css. If you unload this css code, then the dnn forum's width should be normal again in all browsers.

I'm not sure what the consequences of doing this are though.
