Hi

I wonder if anyone has managed to change the week day abbreviation in the calendar using the Small container?  By default it shows Mon Tue Wed etc.  i would however like to simplify this to M T W etc.

Any help is appreciated or if you know of any nice skins available for sale for this module that would be good too!

Thanks

This is formatted via this piece of code in EventWeek.ascx

    <DateStyle CssClass="WeekTitle"></DateStyle>
    <DateTemplate>
        <%#CDate(Container.DataItem).ToString("ddd")%>
        <br />
        <%#CDate(Container.DataItem).ToString("d")%>
    </DateTemplate>

There is a change requested in Gemini to have this templated - EVT-9976

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

I too am interested in having the Mon/Tue/Wed in the Month View changed to M T W.  But I can't seem to make sense of your reply above.  It would seem to refer to the Week View and not Month View.  Plus, I could not find the code you reference in either EventMonth.ascx or EventWeek.ascx.  The Gemini link doesn't seem to work for me either.

What would be the best workaround for this at the present time with Events 5.0.3?

Thanks in advance.

HI David,

You need to edit EventMonth.ascx and add a parameter to the calendar. Change:-

SelectWeekText=" "

to

SelectWeekText=" " DayNameFormat="FirstLetter"

I've thought about whether this could be templated, but it doesn't fit naturally into the current templating scheme. I'll think on it some more... The Gemini link won't work because the project has movged to CodePlex for issue tracking. You can get to the Gemini content though, by adding 'archive' on the start of the url.

Cheers
Roger
