I don't know if this answer comes too late for you, but for others it may be useful:

  1. To create a new Module Control must be created the following files: [ModuleControl].ascx and [ModuleControl].ascx.vb (or ascx.cs), then you must register the new Module Control in Module Definitions section. It is not necessary to modify the file [module].dnn (only if you upgrade your module to take it to another project later) and import full definitions of the module, as you did in steps 4, 5, 10 and 11 (although what you did work).
  2. It is also necessary to create a file [ModuleControl] .ascx.resx, this is the file where the resources of the Module Control must be defined. In this file you must create an entry "ControlTitle_ [yourcontrolmodulename]. Text" where you write the title you want the control to display the user interface (this point should be what you need).

No sé si esta respuesta llegue muy tarde para ti, pero, para otras personas puede ser útil:

  1. Para la creación de un nuevo Control de Módulo se deben crear los archivos [ModuleControl].ascx y [ModuleControl].ascx.vb (o ascx.cs), luego se debe registrar el nuevo Control de Módulo en sección Definiciones de Módulo (Module Definitions). No es necesario modificar el archivo [module].dnn (solo si quieres actualizar tu módulo para llevarlo a otro proyecto después) e importar por completo las definiciones del módulo como lo hiciste en los pasos 4, 5, 10 y 11 (aunque lo que hiciste funciona).
  2. También es necesario crear un archivo [ControlModule].ascx.resx, este es el archivo donde los recursos del Control de Módulo deben ser definidos. En este archivo se debe crear una entrada "ControlTitle_[yourcontrolmodulename].Text" donde se escribirá el título que se quiere que el control muestre en la interface de usuario (este punto debe ser el que te falta).
