DNN looks great, appears easy to use, robust, etc, etc. The catch apparently is getting it actually installed and working.

To say I'm discouraged would be a dramatic understatement. I've installed / uninstalled multiple times now -- 100% fresh installs of SQL 2000 SP4, Windows 2003 Server Standard Ed., DNN 4.02 and 4.03. Every time I get one thing "fixed" and past one error, another one crops up.

If anyone can assist, I would be very grateful.

Is there a specific error you are getting when installing?  I can try to help you get it up and going hang in there.

Thank you all for your kind replies. I really appreciate the assistance and encouragement.

I've got a couple other posts in which I detailed some of the problems I've encountered. The two main errors I've had are detailed in these threads:
http://dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/31510/scope/posts/Default.aspx
http://dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/19639/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I'm running on Windows Server 2003 Standard Ed with SQL 2000 SP4. My installs have all be attempted using the install files -- DotNetNuke_4.0.2_Install.zip and DotNetNuke_4.0.3_Install.zip. FWIW, I also now have Visual Studio.NET 2003 installed.

I'll be more than happy to post any files / messages / whatever if it will help.

dimhelmet, I'll read the thread you pointed me toward.

Thanks again,
Hans
