Hi, I am working on a in house project that involves building mulitple DNN modules.

I am just wondering if is it "OK" to put an assembly (or more than one) directly into the DNN website bin directory. Then the modules will be referencing the library as well as the DNN library.

If not are there any alternative to improve code reuse across different DNN modules?

Any input will greatly assist our team. Thank you in advance. Cheers!

It is "OK" to put additional assemblies within the DNN bin directory.  There is no limitations in that regard that i'm aware of. It acts as any other ASP.NET web application in that regard.

You might instead consider doing what some "pro" module developers do and create a library module that is a required component of your other modules.  This can provide more visibility to the presence & version of the installed library as well as easier maintenance since you can then install/uninstall/upgrade the library via the DNN module admin UI.

I believe Chris Onyak does this with many of the OnyakTech modules.

Thank you, I like the idea of packing library as module. Will do some R&D.
