Hello!

In my module, I have Edit page, in which, I would like to test (by code) if current user posess all necessary rights to edit that page.

How can it be done please?

I retrieve the user like this:

UserInfo currentUser = UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo();

I'm looking for a method like:  currentUser.CanEditModule(this.PageID), but it doesn't exist.

All that I found is currentUser.IsInRole(string role), but that way it is limited, to the role name, that I must create.

I want the application to be flexible.

Any solutions?

Thanks is advance.

I'm happy! I found it!

In fact, it's : this.IsEditable.

Here is the example of my code, if anyone will need help:

            if(this.IsEditable)
            {
                panelCommands.Visible = true;
            }

IsEditable is a property from PortalModuleBase, that checks current module's page edit property, based on current user's rights to edit it.

There is also the custom permissions extensions that alloow you to add your own permissions.  Check out the forms and Lists module for how to do that.
