Hi guys,

I just created another free DNNInfo Restart apps module.

Although this simple utility is built in DNN, it is only available for Host accounts. This utility would be useful if you like to restart the site application due to some caches problems. So I hope this utility will be useful for everyone.

Sometimes as a developer when you develop a module, you need to restart the application due to cache for stored procedures, etc on the site.
By using this module, i found it a bit quicker to restart the apps instead of go to host settings and do it.

In addition, if you host multiple domains into one single DNN install, you may find this useful by given each site owner this little apps to restart just incase they need it.

This utility use DNN Config Class to update the web.config file (safely done)

Remember to make this module available for Administrator Role Only

How to install

This is a PA package, to install you need to login as administrator and upload this module.

Dotnetnuke version requirement

You need to have a DNN version 4.8.4 or above to install this module

Here is the link to download (you will need to register on site)

Redacted, I actually READ it more thoroughly... personally, I've never really had any issues with using the link under the Host Settings. If anything, I'll just keep the site open in a different browser (different session ID) and use it to Restart the App.
