I am not getting Registration emails or password change emails at all. Feedback works fine.

The interesting thing is that in my 4.8 site when I reset a password, the message at the top of the module states that a reminder email was sent and it works. But with my 4.9 site, the message only states that the password was reset - nothing about a reminder email.

Steve - just to check the basics, have you tested the SMTP settings in the Host Settings menu? This would be the first thing to check if you haven't already.

Yes I have done this test and it successfully sends the test email. I am using APSDotNetSotorefront on this site and it sends emails successfully too as does the Feedback module. But the User provisioning emails (Registration, Password reset, Role Assignment) do not send.

I am beginning to wonder about 2 possible root causes;

  1. ASPDotNetStorefront somehow broke things when it added the store stuff to the profile
  2. 4.09.01 needs to be configured differently

Any expereince with these in combination?

Problem solved - the email address was not complete in my Host config. It did not have the domain added (a must). It was not detected because it was in the host's domain so all of my test emails were going to other addresses in the same domain. Feedback has a different source email address.
