Hello,

I'm trying to set the default language on dnn5, but apparently one has to do something else in this version. After I go to site settings > other settings > change language... the portal does nothing. It stays in english.

What am I missing????

Thanx

Firstly, you will need to upload language resource packs. For ex: if you upload a japanese language package, this language should appear under the Admin > Languages, then you can switch over between languages you like.

Hope this help

Regards,
andy

In DNN 5.1, go to languages in admin menu, ensure, the desired language is listed and click "edit" underneath the language dropdown box. Make sure, your language is enabled for the current portal. Next specify default language in portal settings for anonymous users and in your user profile.
