Hello,

I'm using DNN 5.1.1. But after I had closed the database connection to DNN, I saw that DNN Installation Wizard guides me through a new installation of DNN. Is it not a potantional security vulnerability? I got the following error:

The Auto option has been disabled as the DotNetNuke Application cannot connect to a valid SQL Server database. You can continue to use either of the other two Wizard options and configure the Database settings at the appropriate Wizard step.

the default setup of DotNetNuke has a default sql express set in both the connectionstrings. During install if the installer cannot determine a default instance of sql express (if it is still set in the web.config) it disables the auto install as otherwise it would fail.

If you change the connectionstrings, or else the connectionstring cannot connect to the database described it assumes that you will be doing a new install and provider the new database details during install - this is perfectly normal behaviour, and certainly not a security risk.
