Greetings,

We are currently looking at upgrading to DNN ver 5.x. We are currently running ver 4.90 and am evaluating an upgrade to version 5. Besides module compatibility, what other considerations should we make. We are currently running on SQL Server ver 2005.  Is the current release stable? We are a police agency and run many critical applications in DNN.

Is their a forum or site that addresses many of the upgrade issues?

Kind Regards,

Todd

Due to security issues fixed, I strongly suggest upgrading to DNN 4.9.5 immediately. There is a known issue with inline editing in medium trust, which doesn't work.

There have been still some upgrading issues reported for DNN 4 to 5.1.2, which might make it advisable to wait for DNN 5.1.3, which shall be available with the next weeks. Due to significant changes, it is a good idea upgrading a copy of your site first.

Sebastian,

Thanks for your feedback. I usually wait a few builds before upgrading from past experience. I have heard that about 4.90 and plan on upgrading to 4.9.5 tomorrow..

Todd
