Hi,

I'm running DNN 5.1.4 and after pasting in the javascript provided by google into the Google Analytics module, I get this ");" appearing at the bottom of every page on my site. I have tried both the new (ga.js) and old (urchin.js) scripts, and they both produce the same error. once the script is removed, then the problem goes away....but then google analytics is not working.

I have tried to attach an image here to no avail. Please check my site here (you can see it at the very bottom on the left hand side), and it appears on every page.

I was wondering if this is a skin problem?

I am using the normal MinimalExtropy skin.

Please help.

Kind Regards

Dave

Any help would be appreciated.

You have not pasted it in correctly.  You can look at my site for a working example.  Yes it IS in there twice, yes it IS deliberate. www.dynamisys.co.uk.

You only need to put your tracking code into the field labeled "Tracking ID" (example: UA-3948934-3) ... the javascript code provided by Google should not be added because it's automatically injected by the module.

Nik, I know this, and it worked just fine on my 5.1.1 site. However after the upgrade to 5.1.4 no such luck.

If I only insert the tracking code in the tracking ID....I GET NOTHING in Google analytics.  To get it to work I have to add the javascript code, and then I get this ): issue.

To my mind this is a bug in 5.1.4

I note that there are a few instances on the net were people raise similar questions about analytics perhaps not working properly with 5.1.4

Dave
