 Hi all!

I've been a dnn-fan for several years now, using it for many different purposes, but it just discovered some limitations in the way users and User Quotas are handled.

* First of all, when a user is deleted from a portal, the user still exists in the database (a so called "soft delete"). As far as I'm aware, it's not possible to "activate" (undelete) this user again, and it's not possible to register another user with the same username even though the original user is deleted.
Am I right in my assumptions??

* When limiting the number of users (in Host --> Portals --> Edit Portal --> Advanced Settings --> Host Settings --> User Quota), the system counts the total of all users for that portal, not only the "Authorised" ones. I would prefer to limit the number of active (Authorised) users, and the only way to sort of achieve this is to delete the users alltogether. The problem in that case is to activate the user again if needed. Is there a way to configure dnn to honour "my way" of counting users??

Any thought on this issue is much appreciated!!

Regards,
Jon

Afaik there are still missing bits around soft delete, which are logged in Gemini and needs to be solved

If soft deleted users are still counted inside user quota, this is a bug that needs to be fixed. please enter it into the public tracker (2nd from top) at support.dotnetnuke.com.
