Hi,

I'm using the latest available version 3.1.15 and would like to use the Repository module to display photo albums. So basically I want to upload/ select an album image and link it to a page that I have already created that displays all the photos in that album. I think I can use the [URLCONTROLIMAGE] token to select my album image from the server however I don't know how to link it to a page. Is there a token to do that?

Is there a complete list of all tokens available. The documentation that's there seems quite old, I think it's a 2006 doc. I'm sure there must be new tokens for the latest repository 3.1.15

Thanks

Will appreciate if I can get a quick response.

not sure I understand what you are trying to do...

You have existing images on your server and want to use the Repository module to display them?

OR

You have a Repository module with images uploaded and want to display those images on another page in another module?

It's not clear from your post which of the above you are trying to accomplish. Let me know which it is and I can help you out

Hi, Steve thanks for your reply.

Basically I need to upload images from my local machine as well as use existing images from server. That I have easily achieved through the [URLCONTROLIMAGE] token. Now I want to be able to link that image that I have uploaded or selected from server to another page still on my DNN application, but without typing the url, ok well typing can be there in case the url is an external link. So thats the basic functionality that i'm looking for. Is this possible? I have tried using the [URL] token which only allows you to type the url manually, no option of choosing existing page/link. The other problem with that is, if I put the link as http://localhost.... it gives an error stating that I need to put a valid url and links should start with http://, but it is starting with http:// so I don't see why it's giving error. Please advise.

Thanks,
Wasim

Hi Wasim,

I'm a bit confused on what you're doing.  Let me see if I have this right.  You upload an image to the repository, say item id = 1.  Do you want to put alink to this item on another page (the user clicks the link and is taken to the repository page and shown that item)?  It almost sounds like you want to show the picture on the other page, not just have a link to it.  But, I want to make sure I understan what you're trying to do before thinking of how to fix it.
