I will soon be installing DNN for the first time.  Here are the two options I have, and I am wondering which one is best:

1. Invoke the shared hosting provider's "automatic scripted installation" to do the install - presumably it is tweaked for their servers and makes the installation job easy for me.  It would install version 5.0.1.

2. Download the latest version offered here (5.1.4) and manually install it on the shared hosting server.

So, do I opt for an older version but have one that is installed by the shared hosting provider?  Or, are there enough changes in 5.1.4 that I should manually install and be sure I'm on the latest and greatest?

Thanks,
Steve

The latest version alway have included some security fixes, and fixes for major and higher issues.  So the newer versions should allways the best for a new install.  You can also use the package from your ISP, and then upgrade to the new one, about some packages have some changes to the settings for special installation szenarious of the ISPs.  (Like other databaseOwner). I suggest for newcommers on DNN that the use the upgrade package for upgrades.
