Hi

My client is using GoDaddy for hosting.  I did the DNN 5.1.4 application install and it required me to create a subdirectory for DNN to install into.  So I created a subdirectory called dnn.

The client's main URL is www.cheryllairdcoaching.com and has a static site on it.  I will eventually want to replace that site in the root with the DNN site.  How can this be done?

Right now the DNN site is at www.cheryllairdcoaching.com/dnn/ which is great for development but how do I get it to show up under the domain name www.cheryllairdcoaching.com when it is ready to launch?

Thanks

Tanya

if you don't install DNN in web site root (some hosters doesn't grant necessary permissions for root folder) you need to place a redirecting default.aspx inside the root folder, same as default.aspx in a DNN subfolder, when creating a child portal (with different target inside of course). /dnn/ will of course show up in url everytime.

That's what I thought I might have to do.  Thanks for the update.

You can also install dotnetnuke directly to root path of Godaddy hosting account by using some myth.

They are located under my blog.
