In DNN 5.1.4, what is your experience in tracking configuration changes (such as changing the copyright information) in a development database and then extracting and moving it to a staging database? Are there any (commercial or otherwise) modules that can keep track of these changes?

Thanks in advance.

In DNN 5.2, auditing has been added for host settings, site settings, tabs, module settings etc, but simply by loging date and user of the change, i.e. no field values (before/after) are logged.

Thanks, Sebastian for your reply ... so is the only way to retrieve te changed settings dependent on these logging date/time and user? Are there any modules which will enable you to convert these changes into a SQL script?

you may intercept edit actions on database tables using triggers, writing appropriate records to an auditing table which may be used to reproduce the actions on a copy of the system. I am currently not aware of an existing implementation for this.
