There are reasons the IIS default app pool account was moved away from the Network Service account, so changing the account in IIS is not allwys the best option.  Configuring your own app pool account for this application is always the best option.  See www.iis.net for help on that.

Can anyone give some insight on how to add permission to the DefaultAppPool?  I know how to do this for a folder/application but not this.  The DefaultAppPool does not show up as an option when I try to add user/permissions to the folder.  Any help will be appreciated.
