Ian,

I appreciate your support in agreeing with my expressed concerns about the colors, contrast, and readability. And your post is so much more authoritative in its analysis and remarks. Thanks for taking the time,

Well, so far the notifications aren't working.

I checked the notifications checkbox when I started this thread. It doesn't show up in notifications area under My Settings. Nor did I receive any emails for any of these  posts. Darn!

Search seems to work - at least it doesn't crash outright like it did before - haven't tested to see how well it works yet though.

Trying to figure out what the small bar chart is next to people's names. Mine has all bars green everybody else's has all bars black.

Everybody has a PM button in the header but it doesn't work (don't think it is turned on). I've found the PM feature to be very handy in the one DNN site I know that uses it - Ventrian.

Can you post a screenshot of the PM button so I can see exactly where you are seeing this? As for the bars, it is just an online/offline indicator (if you place your cursor over it it will read online/offline to provide some clarity.)

"I also note that the text size widget has gone from this site. Effectively DNN now makes NO concession to anyone with sight issues.
(Yes I know about Ctrl+ but that scales everything and is not remembered on subsequent visits)."

Is this a requirement by w3c guidelines to have widgets to change the text size or is it the browser's responsibility? Even w3.org tells you to use the browser to change the text size. http://www.w3.org/WAI/changedesign.ht... and w3.org doesn't have text resizing options on their site to change text size. The browser can change the text size without changing everything. See 'Zoom Text Only' in Firefox for example.

Crispy-

Screen shot of PM button Here.  As you can see Mike has a PM button in the header of his post right beside the quote and reply buttons. CT does not have the PM button. Clicking on the PM button will produce a DNN Access Denied page. The majority of people have a PM button in their posts but some people do not.
