I upgraded to 5.2.1 on the 28th (from 5.1.1). Everything appeared to be working fine until I noticed 2 related, serious problems today.
1. Using the Host login I cannot logout.
2. Using the Portal Admin account, I can successfully login (Register and Login change to Name and Logout) but the site remains in View mode as if I am not logged in. There is no command section (Mode, Page Functions, Common Tasks, etc) at the top of the page and none of the containers show any sign of Actions (Settings, etc).
My first thought was cookies, but I have ruled this out. I have deleted, purged, disabled, etc cookies on Firefox, IE, and Chrome - also switched to another machine that had never loaded the site - and the same issues continue.
I also checked the Event Viewer and it is successfully recording all the logins and logouts that are not working - without any sign of errors. There are no recent errors in the event log at all.
Has anyone seen this behavior? I need some suggestions as to what I should be looking at. I compared the 5.1.1 web.config and the 5.2.1 web.config and I do not see anything that seems related in the differences. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance! - Jeremy
