I have discovered that if a user logs in, and then just hits the back button to go to the login screen again - and logs in as a different user, the new user is not logged in and they are met with the previous users settings.  Of course if you hit logout first, then login as the new user it is fine.

I could see problems with this for us with users sharing computers.

Is there something I can do - maybe on the login page some script that always logs you out if logged in?

Melanie,

Check out this page.  I would recommend upgrading to latest version (4.9.5, or 5.2.1)  to ensure all known Security issue are addressed.  If you believe this is a new issue, please report as described.

Paul.

I am using 4.9.5.  I am using SQL2000 so I cannot go to 5.

a user should always close browser window, when leaving a machine, otherwise there is no security!

Besides I haven't noticed this behaviour - are you sure, cookies are handled correctly by your browser?
