Hi folks/Sebastian

I would like to format my input form just like this one.

http://www.formandlist.com/Gallery/Feedback.aspx

I have downlaod the file, on this site, looked at the UDT 3.5.1 manual and watched the DNN Creative videos and I can see how to format a list with html and XLST but not how to format an input form.

This must be an old question but my forum searches haven't found an answer. Please could you tell me how to do this or point me to some exitsing explanation.

Kind regards

Geoffrey

Geoffrey,

are you using latest version of  the module? CSS styling of the edit form has been improved in FnL 5.0.2.

Regarding details, how Feedback on formandlist.com has been implemented, Stefan should be able to help you.

Hi Sebastian

Thanks for your reply. I am using 5.1.1, the latest version, I think. I can see exactly how to format a list but not how to format an input form, so there must be something very simple that I am missing.

How can I contact Stefan?

Kind regards

Geoffrey

Accepted Answer

Hi Geoffrey,

I just regained access to the site. Stefan is using "DIV and custom CSS" as Form Layout setting, i.e. each row gets applied a class named  "UDT_Field UDT_Type_[typename]" and the text boxes are surrounded by a div class "UDT_input".

Grouping is done using fields of type "separator", which are rendered as fieldset with class "UDT_Field", using field name as legend.

For your convenience, see field definition here:

Many thanks Sebastaian

That was the additional clarification I needed. I will let you know how I get on.

Kind regards
