My DNN site has been up an runnig for quite some time & all of a sudden I get the following error:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

General network error. Check your network documentation.

____________________________

I made no changes whatsoever and this error showed up.

I'm running DNN 3.2, SQL Server 2000, IIS6, Win 2003 Server.

Help!!!!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem using webhost4life.  They did 'something' that made it work again (I couldn't get a good answer out of them). And on I went.  Who's your host?

With wh4l the problem occurred a number of times over about 6 weeks until I finally lost it and tried a fresh install to eliminate DNN as the offender.  The new install also gave errors.  I re-installed, this time on their SQL 2005 server.  This has worked very well so far (6 weeks in and no errors).  I presume there was just some glitch with the old server, settings or hardware I don't know which.

Anyhow, is this with a host that you can ask for help?  It's presenting as a connection issue after all... and if you made no changes then on the surface it seems like an issue for the host (unless that's you)
