Hi James,
Our Sales team doesn't work over the weekends (however, our support team is 24/7).  Because of the influx of WHFL people, we've had to adjust our phone configurations we had an issue which caused a temporary issue with our phone system eating voice mails earlier last week.  I apologize if that affected you.

Were you calling our US or UK offices?

Just an observation... it took BP 3 months to cap a well a the bottom of an ocean... 6 months later WH4L still can't migrate a web site.

Has anyone heard anything positive about WH4L's ability to migrate and/or support DNN?

Tony, thanks for your follow-up via phone, much appreciated.

We are abandoning ship at webhost4life (WH4L), both DNN and other Windows-based sites. I have DNN sites at WH4L (my "less important" DNN sites because WH4L was never all that stable, having data issues and so on, but not quite as crippling as what has happened recently) and also DNN sites at PowerDNN (sites that require flawless service and in fact still get flawless service). WH4L began its migrations 3-6 months ago, which ended in complete failure for many, made worse by the fact that tech support was unresponsive, fraudulently telling customers that they would fix it within 48 hours, as months dragged on without any attempt (overwhelmed?) or expertise (incompetent?) to do so. My suggestion is to do a complete backup of your sites hosted by WH4L and take it somewhere else. There is no point in trying to figure out all there problems, and I believe in rewarding merit and skill. I have no affiliation with PowerDNN, but I do know that my sites have had zero issues and staff are responsive with deep DNN knowledge.

www.PowerDNN.com is the bestcompany hands down that I have worked with. Best Service, Best Support. They are more expensive........ but, I have to say its worth it. At my old company we used PowerDNN and they were super fast and even taught us some performance enhancing techniques. However when I moved companies the new company used WH4L. We just lost a site and I was trying to find out what happened, no sql server access no nothing. After a google or two I came across this post. All I have to say is, from experience, pay the extra few dollars. Its worth it.
