Hi.

My DNN 521 installation has been running fine for several weeks. however, in the last 24 hours it has stopped allowing anyone to log in to any of the portals in the installation. I have a 4.9.x instance on the same server which is working fine.

I did an iisreset and restarted the sql server service on the server to no avail. Have tried logging in with both firefox and IE unsuccessfully.

In firefox i usually just get the response ""Received a invalid response" (Note the grammatical error).

In IE I get

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Invalid at the top level of the document. Error processing resource 'http://partners.rev-id.com/Default.aspx'. Line 1, Pos...

Received a invalid response

At first I thought it may have something to do with having the RSS module on the login page causing some kind of problem. but i couldn't login to any of the portals even without the RSS module on the page.

I've tried logging in as a normal user and superuser - no difference.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've narrowed the problem down further.

Yesterday when I reported this issue I was using my mobile braodband connection. A Vodafone card on a GSM "3G" network.

As soon as i switched over to a normal wi-fi connection in the cafe or at home the log in issues above go away and eveything works as expected.

Recall though that my DNN 4.9.x portals work fine on any connection so it's definitely something in the DNN software as oppposed to the network connection.

Whilst on mobile broadband i haven't had any problems accessing other sites i need to log in to such as internet banking, web mail etc.

I see this as quite an issue as more and more people use mobile broadband.

Anyone know what this could be?
