Pepin I am sorry you had problems getting DotNetNuke to work on your WHS.

Generally when you get the install/underconstruction message it is related to SQL connectivity issues.

Thank you for responding. The wierd this is that it connects fine to sql locally, is just when it has to go live, so it has to be maybe a combination of sql and permition, but I already gave FULL permition to the entire web folder. Now about the sql I have not try anything cuz i have no idea what to look for in sql. I have SQL Express 2005 and 2008.

Thx Chris

Pepin, do you know what the instance name is for each of those? you might have a problem due to having both installed and perhaps they aren't installed using the default instance names. To be honest, I've not had much luck with SQL Express so I avoid it like the plague :)

Thx again Chris. But im not sure what u mean by the instance name. What I know is that i give permition to IIS_WPG and so far I have been able to install other started kits from the asp.net website using Visual Web Developer 2008 and SQL Express 2008. I will uinstall the SQl Express 2005 and try to get a SQL that is not the free version lol but u know how expensive they are.

I deleted all from my homeserver but I can get it back and with it another try. I really thank you for helping.

The instance name is usually something like ./sqlexpress or possibly ./sqlexpress2005 I don't know if that might make a difference, since you have both installed, one would have one instance name, the other would have it's own unique instance name. If I get a chance this weekend I'll try to setup my WHS to host a DNN site, I can't say I've tried it before as I too had some SQL issues on my WHS when I was trying to setup TFS
