Greetings:

Here are the specifics:

Host: Webhost4Life
Database: MSSQL 2005

Once correct parameters were determined, the scripts started to open.  It would repeat on screen "undetermined script...success".  This continued for many hours until a script error box appeared.  I continued the script until the box appeared again, this time I told the browser to cancel.  An error page appeared.  I then deleted the dnn files from the remote server and replaced with the latest version.  Now I receive a runtime error.  The only thing I haven't done is establish a new data base.  Any thoughts?

This issue is most often a sign of insufficient permissions being granted to the ASP.Net worker process account on not only the root folder of the website but on all child folders as well. If you are not able to check and and grant full permission to that account using your WebHost4Life control panel I would suggest you contact their support to request that the ASP.Net worker process account (for which the App Pool running your site is configured) be granted full permissions on the root and all folders of your site. Note: The permissions check on the second page of the DotNetNuke install wizard only checks for proper permissions on the root folder.

Also, whenever an install fails you should delete all site folders/files and replace them with fresh copies from the install package. In addition, you should delete the database and recreate a new one before re-attempting the install as it is difficult to know without careful examination of the database if the first attempt created any tables, stored procedures or other database objects which could interfere with a re-install.
