 Hi,

I have setup my dev environment with Windows 7 + IIS7 + SQL Server 2008 Express. Every thing is working perfect.

Now when I am trying to install DNN with Windows Server 2008 SP1 (and not Windows R2) + IIS7 + SQL Server 2008 Express, the wizard get stuck at "Run Database Installation Scripts" it just sits there and does nothing. I checked the database through SSMS and it does create any objects in the database.

I double checked NETWORKSERVICES does have full control over the root directory.

I am not sure what I am missing. Can someone help?

You didn't happen to change the instance name from whatever the default is when installing SQL Express did you?

did you make sure, the sql server allows remote access and the SQL server account got dbo permission for the database?

Thank you Chris and Sabestian, actually every thing was fine except IIS 7.5 installation. Actually while adding Web Server role to the server, I messed with default minimum services selection and therefore the even basic html page was not showing up. I uninstall the role and reinstalled with default selection of the services. This resolved the issue.

Thank you again.
