I recenlty created a new portal, logged in as host to check everything out and the admin pages were disabled.

All the common tasks controls on the admin bar are greyed out. I went to the admin drop down and click on pages.

I was able to edit the page settings but nothing  is showing up or works?

Any help?

Can you access the HOST menu from another portal and run select * from tabs to see if you see multiple tabs in there with the name of Site Settings or any of the other DNN admin pages? I wonder if the portal creation failed and the tabs didn't get created properly?

host users should be able to enter any admin module. There might be an issue creating tabpermission records, please check this table as well. I suggest to delete the portal and recreate it.

Thanks for your help Sebastian.

I deleted the portal and started over. So far everything seems to be working. Just wondering if this had been seen before and the cause.

We have two different template options we are using when creating a new portal for a website. I'll go test the other it might be a template problem.
