I'm installing DNN 05.02.03 on a hosted Win2008 server and SQL2008

Firstly, the initial page needs a refresh before the install wizard shows up.

Then I enter database details, and move on to the database scripts part of the wizard. This always fails with a cryptic error message "FAILURE". I checked in the database, and all tables are created, it seems.

After this I can hit refresh, and it seems to continue, but every line in the status box begins with "undefined". It ends with the same cryptic error again - "FAILURE".

I checked for logs, but find nothing in /Providers/DataProviders/SqlDataProvider

What can I do?

Also, how can I reset the installation completely? I.e. remove the files is easy, but how do I remove all the database objects without going through each and every one and hit "Delete"?

Rolf your best bet would be to simply delete the database and recreate it if possible

It's a hosted SQL Server, and I cannot delete the entire database or recreate it.

Is restarting the installation with a blank database the solution?

Unfortunately that is likely your best solution unless you want to go through and manually try to remove all the existing database objects. It looks like something failed along the way and without knowing exactly what you'll have a hard time trying to get a good clean install going.
