After much testing, re-testing, bugfix research, and several unofficial beta releases, the latest version of ComSite's Simply Classified is now available!  You can download the module via CodePlex here: http://simplyclassified.codeplex.com

Below is a listing of updates to the module, along with brief notes for installation or upgrade.  As always, support for the module will be available on the ComSite Support Forums.  We hope you find this latest release as a major stabilization to the modules features and functionality.  Special thanks to those who have offered ideas and testing support of the fixes and enhancements to the module.

Over the next few days, we will begin our roadmap of features slated for the next release.  If you have suggestions or comments please let us know so we may evaluate them for possible inclusion in future releases.

Thanks for the compliments!  It's great to become an active member of the development team for the module and for comsite.org!

Since the initial release of this version we have had 3 small patches to the module code (all available on CodePlex) and updated the stable release packages for the module (being as this all has happened within 24 hours of the latest version release).  Any downloads in the first 24 hours of the release may need to have the patches applied to regain functionality of the email notifications as there was a minor glitch.  Any current and future downloads of the module now include those patches already applied.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

Apparently we are experiencing a little trouble with our support forums currently, but this should hopefully be resolved soon as well.  The module is available directly at CodePlex via http://simplyclassified.codeplex.com and the patches are available in Source Control as will for those who downloaded the module before this posting.  If you encounter any further issues, be sure to raise a bug report on CodePlex so we may dive in and resolve these as well.

I will start on the roadmap for the v1.00.13 Public BETA release very soon and hope to have v1.00.14 Public STABLE out soon after!  Thanks again for your support.

(sidenote to DNN.com admins - my apologies for the triple post last night - the forums responded to me with an error when I submitted the first two posts.  On the third, I finally got the response that the post was awaiting moderation and would be available soon.  You guys might want to look into that, as sometimes when you post here, the forums return an error even though the post is submitted and awaiting approval.)

Currently using Simply Classified 1.00.12 on internal Intranet site. Can not remove need to validate posts by any user other than Admin.

In troubleshooting have even given all roles including unauthenticated users full control rights to the page and the module and still the status is "approval pending" and it is greyed out. Only the Admin or Host is able to validate the post. Other roles with validate rights can "see" the posting needing validation but can not edit the post and change the status to active.

I would like everyone in the office to be able to post classifieds without needing to login or have to have the posts validated.

We are using Simply Classifieds for our internal Intranet and would like everyone to be able to post classified ads without requiring validation. So farhave not been able to turn off the validation requirement and only the Admin role is capable of validating posts.

In troubleshooting we have gone as far as giving everyone (including unauthenticated users) full control as well as post items and verify posts rights and still only "pending approval" is showing greyed in status when positng a new ad.

Admin and Host can post ads and edit/verify ads. All other user roles can see ads to verify but can not edit them to verify.

Any ideas or suggestions for a free or inexpensive module that can provide this functionality to our intranet.
