Were you using the quick reply or did you click the reply button?  The quick reply doesn't have HTML, but the normal reply does.

I wonder if I need to be begging for an iPad for testing.  It only took me 3 years to get a 5 year old Mac to do cross-browser testing.  If I start now, maybe I can get an iPad in 4 years.

I just used the forum as an example, it doesn't work anywhere in DNN 4.5.9.

Ahh!  Now I'm getting it.

It would take somebody on the core team to tell you, but it perhaps the code from 4.5.9 doesn't properly detect the iPad's version of Safari as an "A Grade" browser and gives the downlevel support version.

I think I recall having some issues with the HTML editor using Safari with DNN versions in the pre-5 version.  I'm assuming that you also mean that it doesn't work with the dotnetnuke.com forums, though?
