I have installed DNN 5.1.4.

I've installed  dnn in port 81 so dnn portal address is http://localhost:81/.

I've set UserPortNumber is True In web.config.

But when i click home, register, login link. My http address is http://localhost:81/home.aspx ( /register.aspx; /login.aspx). And That page has error HTTP 404. (File not found).

When I change port 81 to 80. And portalalias is same. That's allright and have no error as above.

Can you help me to config DNN in not standard port.

Thanks a alot.

I have exactly the same problem. As far as I understand thats what the UsePortNumber settings is used for. Not exactly sure how the Alias should be defined in the case of using a non standard port. I have tried both setting the port number in the Alias and also not setting it in the portal alias but still not getting my other pages to load. Only the default page loads. http://192.168.0.5:101 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Guys,

I was having a similar issue. We have to allow an external agency access to our DNN site so we configured our website to use a non-standard port 8989 in our case. After uncommenting the Use port number tag in teh web config and updating the portal alias table with the port numbers I still could not access most of the pages. After a couple of trial and errors found that un-checking the Use Friendly URLs option uinder Host Settings I am now able to view all the pages.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Rajesh
