Hi Guys

I'm new to DNN so hope you can help. My webhosting package (Arvixe .Net) comes with the option to install DNN 5 (which is now installed). However I want to try my hand at some dev on my local machine.

I've installed the DNN database from my webserver, however on moving the DNN files from the web server to my dev box (Windows 7), I keep getting IIS errors. I've updated the web.config file to map to my local server name.

I've had a trawl through the forum, as well as google but I can't seem to find a guide that covers this scenario. Hopefully you can help.

"[UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Install\UnderConstruction.htm' is denied.]
System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) +7716783
System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) +7630652
DotNetNuke.Common.Initialize.CreateUnderConstructionPage(HttpServerUtility server) +95
DotNetNuke.Common.Initialize.CheckVersion(HttpApplication app) +232
DotNetNuke.Common.Initialize.InitializeApp(HttpApplication app) +567
DotNetNuke.Common.Initialize.Init(HttpApplication app) +152
DotNetNuke.HttpModules.RequestFilter.RequestFilterModule.FilterRequest(Object sender, EventArgs e) +674
System.Web.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +68
  System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +75"

|'ve checked the IIS configuration and its set to allow anonymous access based on the local iis service.

Thanks in advance!

Ahmad

Check your properties on the folder itself to be sure ASP.Net Machine account has access to the folder.

Also I'm not sure how it is in windows 7 but in XP pro IIS 5.1 you can only have one site running at a time. (www.jetstat.com/iisadmin) has a tool to deal with that.
