Hi,

I know that the System Requirements list SQL Server 2005/2008, but is DNN SQL Server 2000 compatible?

The database box is one of the least tapped servers so I was hoping to use that in lieu of one of our 2005 SQLServers.

Any thoughts?

DNN 4.x is SQL 2000 compatible, but the scripts for DNN 5.x require SQL 2005 or higher.

though there are minor tweaks to run DNN 5.1 to 5.3.x on SQL 2000, future versions of DNN will increasingly use new features like Varchar(Max), i.e. setting up DNN on SQL 2000 is not advisable.

Cheers from Germany,

Ditto - don't use SQL Server 2000.

That's what I thought, and I definitely agree with you.

It might be time to upgrade the legacy app running 2000 as well.

Thanks for the input.
