Hi,

I'm having issues with DNN on Vista and IIS7, after installing I get a permission error when the site is trying to run,

DotNetNuke Configuration Error
Could not find a part of the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\dnn5\Config\Backup_20104291531\web_.config'.Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\dnn5\web.config' is denied.

I have set the Network Service account to have full control from the application directory and below, but I still have the same problem.

Help!

Chris

Take a look at the account the pool is using to access the site.

Windows 7/IIS 7.5 no longer uses the Network Service account as the default.  You need to grant access for the app pool identity instead.

Jeff, Chris is talking about VIsta (IIS 7) not Windows 7. Please follow Nestor's advice and check the account, the app pool is using. I also strongly suggest using pipeline mode for the app pool to gain maximum performance

Hi,

It was the account setting on the application pool, thanks folks.
