We are currently using DNN strickly for our own internal intranet.
We currently have info stored in a SQL db on 2 different tables. I want to pull some of this info into DNN and then create several forms that will have additional info added to this imported data. My original data may change so I need DNN to refresh this data on a regular basis. Any suggestions as to a module that will let us do this.
For example I have a customer order entered into my SQL db - I want to pull this order into DNN so that the people in my production department can see what they need to produce - they can then enter a date when it will be made and then my person in the lab can see it was produced and can enter an analysis for this product which will then be visible by truck driver who can now see the order is ready to be shipped. This info must all start with my SQL db so I have to export info from this into DNN.  Because the order can change qty or delivery date I need the DNN to refresh its info to reflect these changes.

Julie, if your web server is able to access the sql server of your other db in your network, a DNN module might access any data in it, E.g. on the web site of the German DNN user group, the language pack data is stored in a separate database which can be managed individually. A visually configurable module is accessing data for display and editing.

Cheers from Germany,
