I haven't experienced this, but just out of curiosity, did you check the NTFS permissions on the child portals directory on the server (or any sub-directories of it)? Also, are you capable of using/uploading files to the DNN file system via other modules? The other spots to check: Folder table, then folder perms from there; Page permissions (make sure admin is in tabpermission table); Module permissions.

Great ideas...  I just reapplied the permissions on the entire site.  No change.  Then, I checked to see if I could upload a file using the file method of the URL control, and the upload link is not rendered.  Any ideas why?

Will, deploy permissions only apply when adding the module to a page. however did you check both tab and permissions for the user and also re-save settings to make sure, they are properly applied? Besides, are you using default CE permission provider? I noticed some issues in the code in previous versions, which might affect PE.

I did indeed check the page and module permissions, as well as create a new page and add a new instance of the module, only to have the same result.  Also, the file upload utility in the DNN URL Control.  However, I did indeed re-save the permission settings in the module and page as well.  Finally, I am using the default DNN providers for everything on this site.

please check the modulepermissions table, whether module permissions are properly created, ATM this is the only Idea I have.

But how would that affect the other upload controls?
