My client turned on Active Dir authentication  but now I don't know how to get to the admin and host tabs

is the a pdf doc somewhere on AD for 5.X

Documentation is here but it's not going to cover this one. So it sounds like your client has turned off the normal DNN standard signin. Do you get a choice when you want to login manually (Standard or Windows Login)? There's two ways you can go about it and both require manually going into the database. The first is to open the Users table and find where your user account is (whichever windows account you're using now) and set the IsSuperUser flag to true. The other is to open the PortalSettings table and find AD_HideWindowsLogin and make sure it's set to False.
