Hi,
Some strange behavior is occurring on our newly set up forum. I just created some sample posts for a demonstration of the forums module on our extranet, all the users who I have granted access are getting email notifications of these new posts and replies, but no one has Notifications selected. None of the users have even been to the forums yet! Is there some "on by default" setting somewhere that I missed?

It seems that you have setup a Forum with the forum behavior " Notification Forum" this behavior sends Notification to all Groups that are have access to this forum.  So please check your forum settings.

No, none of the forums is set up as a notifications forum. They are all set to Normal Forum in the options.
