@ William
Nice site :)
On your home page you have the Technical Media Centre, a series of tabs with associated content. Is that built with digArticle ?

thx
Tony

Here is a small update with some more info I have uncovered.

DigArticle does "ago" times.  i.e. It can show the post date as "x minutes (hours, days, etc.) ago" like Facebook does instead of just the post date.

DNNArticle has a new Google Maps token to place a Google Map in a post - it gets the location from a custom field (Ventrian and DNNArticle do custom fields). And I also learned that DNNArticle will do cross portal articles - fairly cool.

One of my main goals is to build a solution where my visitors can post from their cell phones.  I thought Posterous was going to be that solution but I'm learning that Posterous isn't quite as slick as I thought it was.  At least not for what I want.  I was importing the RSS feed from my Posterous blog into NA and also DigArticle and I found that any video that I had uploaded to Posterous wouldn't come through the RSS feed.  Instead you get an icon and two links "download now or watch at Posterous".  From what I read on Posterous site and blogs I thought the auto-post feature would solve this for me.  Just learned that it won't - auto-post puts the same icon and two links instead of the video into your site.  During my testing I did learn that you can text a video from your cell phone to Posterous and it will embed it properly - although in a smaller player than other video uploads.  When I said text I meant text to email which is cool because any cell phone without a data plan can do that.

So now I am left with three choices (so far) for my post via cell phone DNN feature:
  1. I have played around with using Posterous but linking my DNN news module template to a targeted iframe and some creative CSS to show article details in my DNN site instead of sending them out to Posterous.
  2. I have also been playing around with the mail connector in Active Forums Enterprise.  Might have to see what can be done there.  Would be very nice to keep the entire thing in-house instead of using outside service.
  3. Might have to see what other services there are out there.
  4. There is also a possibility of an iphone app solution (I'll let the person working on that tell you when and if it is ready)  which would be cool but not an end all solution. Especially in my part of the country where iphones are not the majority.
Still at the drawing board!

Hi Mike How difficult would it be to integrate digArticle with Active Social? I want to give each member their own personal blog and I'd prefer to use your module.

@FM: Yes.  You can use the activesocial profile pics for the digArticle author pics, and you can create a digArticle dashboard which will list the users articles, it will grab the author's userid from the querystring and display the articles only for that author.
